G-DMX standalone

It started in 2006... The first  RadioRecorder DGo - standalone controller functioning on G-DMX -  was designed and installed on one of the central bridges in Moscow - Krimsky Bridge.  We faced the problem to provide remote control and diagnostics of  the outdoor dynamic lighting installation operated  in standalone mode. The controller had to be located outdoor  in the temperature range  between  -30oC - +35oC. Besides,  the device  had to output DMX 512 wirelessly, as use of cable was impossible.

The pilot project demonstrated a fantastic economy of the effort,  time and money, required for mounting and  set-up works.  All mounting works took just  2 days!  Since 2006  G-DMX controllers are widely used for lighting installations on hard-to-reach outdoor sites, e.g. bridges, housefronts, high buildings, towers.

G-DMX technology  gives vast oppotunities for  maintenance of  distant standalone illuminated objects  from your office, home, car - in other word,  from any place you prefer with GSM available.

DMX-scenarios are generated and scheduled  with the special software or a lighting controller. We may as well use LightConverse visualization software  to create and simulate the show. Upload into  G-DMX controllers can be made either remotely (over GSM from a PC)  or locally (over DMX/Ethernet cable from the lighting desk).  The saved and scheduled DMX-senarios are output  BE-DMX wireless technology to RadioGate receivers, over DMX or Ethernet cable to the controlled lights.

RadioRecorder DGo and RadioRecorder DGBo use GSM network and provide  remote playback of  512ch.DMX  in standalone and limited interactive modes. Due to the integrated real time clock on the board, you can use several syncronized devices on the site.

In 2010 Sundrax has launched production of new 3G-GSM controllers that demonstrate  more advantages of G-DMX technology. While 3G provides data communication at a substantially higher speed than GSM,  RadioRecorder 3G and RadioRecorders 3G+ allow  remote playback of 1024ch.DMX  both in standalone and fully interactive modes. Due to the GPS module on the board, you can use several devices syncronized on the site with 10-6s precision.  Additionally, the devices have an outdoor Ethernet port for ArtNet/ACN in-/outputting.

All G-DMX controllers  can as well  be operated with your cell phone!
